HONOLULU – Two Guenoc wines, produced by kama‘aina-owned Langtry Estate & Vineyards, received high honors at the 2007 California State Fair Commercial Wine Competition – the oldest and most prestigious wine competition in North America. The 2005 Guenoc Lake County Petite Sirah was selected as the best Petite Sirah produced among all appellations in California. Additionally, the 2006 Guenoc Lake County Sauvignon Blanc was selected as the best Sauvignon Blanc produced in the North Coast appellation, which includes Napa, Lake, Sonoma, and Mendocino counties.

Judging took place June 15 – 17 at the CalExpo Fairgrounds in Sacramento. The competition is open exclusively to bonded California wineries that sell retail.

Langtry Estate & Vineyards is owned by Honolulu-based Malulani Investments Limited. Easton Manson, president of Malulani Investments, said, “We have been producing wines since 1984 and our goal has always been to produce award-winning wines, and the Guenoc label continues to be a success.”
